One day I want to be super rich, not because I want the fame or publicity – I want the money. I want to be able to go nuts in any electronic shop and have enough space at home to set it all up! But until then I will have to be a little restrained with my spending habits.
Let me start with who I am. I am not a technician or technical whizz; but I am a film and music junkie. As a result, I don’t live in the centre of town, I don’t think I am the sort of person most people want as a neighbour! I also get more space by being out a little.
What have I done with my space? Well, like most people, I have a living room with a televisions and stereo. I also have a garage which I have converted into a home cinema. (I have left enough space so that I can park my BMW 1150 in there when bad weather is forecast, but usually it’s happy enough outside).
So why are my reviews so much better than anyone elses? Simple – I love reviewing products. I can’t think of a better way to spend my lunchtimes than pounding the streets in search of new technology and what it does. This addiction means that I have been trusted by many friends to research their future buys for them. (Unfortunately I haven’t yet worked out how to make money out of this hobby, so I can’t give up the day job yet!)
One of my classic stories is over the Samsung 8000 series. I had been lusting over these since before they were on the market – and then, by the time I had my money together I discovered that there was no way I wanted one. Samsung just didn’t seem to manage to pull it together this time. (Full review here)
I have also put up my home cinema review (click here for the full story).
Unfortunately the day job (and a lot of good film releases) have slowed down my updates – I guarantee that there will be more to come. I already have notes on the the Marantz SR5005, the DENON AVR-3311cl audio equipment, and I am also going to spread my wings a bit with some camera reviews, most likely starting with a Nikon d7000 review.
